When GiftWorks reached out to me about the pilot program with the UofU, it had a profound change on my outlook, my attitude and most importantly, it gave me a purpose and a goal that I could actively strive for that might radically change the course and quality of my life.
Once I decided this was right for me to donate my kidney, GiftWorks was there every step of the way. Sometimes it is just emotional support my navigator provided me, and other times it was advice and guidance. I could tell from the minute I spoke to my navigator that she genuinely cared about me and was going to be my advocate.
The GiftWork's program will save my son's life and for that I am beyond grateful. GiftWorks stood by our side throughout the whole process and ensured we felt comfortable with everything and that we would reach many people who may want to donate a kidney to my son. Their special care has made this a wonderful experience and a true gift to us.
GiftWorks has been so incredibly helpful to have along with me on this journey. I'm truly so thankful for my navigator's help and support. Most people in my life are anxious about this, and it's so nice to have a cheerleader in my corner who can help me see the big picture clearly.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be accepted and part of the GiftWorks’ Program and have their help. I look forward to the weekly assignments and projects each week. I can see a big difference between doing it the GiftWorks’ way and when I tried by myself.
I was surprised and got excited when I found out that there are people that actually stepped up to help and signed up, that makes me feel so appreciative and hopeful.
